Existence is indeterminate.
Diverse and multi-layered, like an underground water vein.
However we try to define and understand it, it always slips through.
To grasp existence, one can only forge a relationship oneself.
Here and now, I pursue existence as something raw, exposed.
And there, the body is inscribed.
Existence seems a contradiction, yet it is continuous.
Twofold in appearance, with an abyss opening behind it.
Like good and evil, shadow and light, nature and the artificial, life and death.
Even the self is born of the contention between outside and inside.
Just as a person holds a space within, it is the faint middle ground that carries meaning.
Ambivalence draws opposing things together.
Institutions, common sense and rules are not the premise of understanding or value.
Only through opposition can existence be grasped.
Contain opposition, and a relationship beyond it appears.
Even as things stand opposed, the whole holds them.
Sense that, and opposition can be surpassed.
